Getting Here

The Dennis A. Wicker Civic & Conference Center is proud to call the rolling hills of the North Carolina piedmont home. Centrally located in Sanford and Lee County, the heart of North Carolina, we’re easily accessible by major highways from all directions. These include U.S. Routes 1, 421 and 501 which connect to I-95, I-40 and I-85. We’re also conveniently close to Raleigh-Durham International Airport, Fayetteville Regional Airport and the Raleigh Executive Heliport.
From the Durham, Chapel Hill and Pittsboro areas
Take U.S. 15-501 to Sanford and exit on U.S. Highway 1. Go south to Exit 149-A-South. This is Oscar Keller Jr. Highway, but the sign may not be up yet. Stay on the highway about 3.5 miles to Exit 145, Kelly Drive. Turn right and follow Kelly Drive until it dead-ends on Nash Street. The Civic Center/Small Business Center is on the left.
From the Dunn, Erwin and Lillington areas
Take U.S. 421 to Sanford where it merges with N.C. 87. Take N.C. 87/U.S. 421 to Main Street. Turn right and go to Nash Street, the first traffic light. Turn left onto Nash Street for a block and the Civic Center/Small Business Center is on the right.
From Fayetteville/Fort Brag areas
Take N.C. 87 north to where it merges with U.S. 421 at Sanford. Travel about one mile north on N.C. 87/U.S. 421 to Main Street. Turn right and go Nash Street, to the first traffic light. Turn left onto Nash Street for a block and the Civic Center/Small Business Center is on the right.
From the Raleigh area
Take U.S. 1 south to Exit 149A-South north of Sanford. This is Oscar Keller Jr. Highway, but the sign may not be up. Stay on the highway about 3.5 miles to Exit 145, Kelly Drive.
